Use of computers in Banks

Use of computers in Banks:
Computers are used in banks for variety of reasons. Firstly banks use computers to open a new accounts like saving account, checking account etc. Computers are used to track transactions. If there are no computers in banks then it would be very hard for banks to give good customer service. Banks used computers to track customer information like name, address, phone number, date of birth etc. This information is used to contact with customers and notify them if there any change in their bank account or in bank policy. Customer account number is also stored in the computers, which gives bank employees the ability to access customers information efficiently. With a computer, banks can analyze aging reports and track the customers who have had checks returned due to non sufficient funds. Thus, Computers saves times of employees.

Customers can also use online banking. Each bank has their own website. These websites are very useful for customers. Customers that having accounts in that bank can log in to their account in the bank website and can get all the information of their account. Customers can see all their transactions. They can also pay their bills by using their online bank account by sitting at home.
